Brandee Madison
Manager @Employer Advisor Branch
Brandee brings the Employer Advisor Branch a wealth of knowledge and experience garnered over a long career with the Workers’ Compensation Board-Alberta (WCB-Alberta). Starting as a Claims Adjudicator in 2006 with WCB-Alberta, she held different positions including Case Manager, Claims Resolution Case Manager and Appeals Advisor. Prior to joining Employer Advisor Branch as a Branch Manager, Brandee worked in WCB-Alberta account management handling employer appeals where she honed her skills as an Employer Advisor. This experience provided her with the platform from which she will deliver superior services to employers. As the Manager of the Employer Advisor Branch, she leads a team of Employer Advisors and works with key stakeholders to provide appeals services, education and advice to employers on the WCB-Alberta system.
Tom Kurian
Employer Advisor @Employer Advisor Branch
Tom has a wide array of experience and knowledge from both the private sector and a 10-year career with the Workers’ Compensation Board-Alberta (WCB-Alberta). In the private sector, Tom garnered considerable experience with operations management, employee recruitment and training, leadership, regulatory compliance and financial stewardship. In 2009, Tom joined WCB-Alberta. During his time with WCB-Alberta, he held positions within employer accounts, underwriting and the Office of the Appeals. At WCB-Alberta, Tom had significant experience with operations management, leadership, project management, employee training, quality assurance and the application and interpretation of applicable legislation. As an Employer Advisor with the Employer Advisor Branch, Tom advocates for employers with issues they experience with the WCB-Alberta and the system partners. His duties include representing employers throughout all levels of the appeals process.
